The Labour Court, Ireland's primary authority for resolving industrial relations disputes, embarked on a digital transformation journey to modernise legal case management processes and administrative infrastructure, with the aim of elevating operational excellence and enhancing citizen experiences.
The previous case management landscape relied on Excel and a legacy case management solution that was reaching end-of-life. As a result case management relied heavily on manual, paper-based processes. Partnering with Storm Technology, the Labour Court leveraged the flexibility of Microsoft Power Platform to create a fully consolidated, cloud-based case management system tailored to its unique requirements.
The new system has helped the Labour Court streamline operations with a single modern system for managing case scheduling, appeals and referrals, helping improve visibility and efficiency. Role-based access helps ensure proper governance and a new online portal for appeal or referral submissions has helped enhance citizen experiences. The Labour Court was also supported by Storm's specialists in preserving and migrating 25 years' worth of case data to the cloud.
